I love to help my clients with the reflexology system to relieve tension and to treat some of their illnesses. Initially I will do a brief intake and health history to make sure that reflexology is the best choice for them. Although reflexology is not a substitute for medical treatment it can aide my clients in feeling less tension or pain in their bodies. I normally look up the essential oils that are suggested for that condition and use a carrier base oil to dilute the blend. I then massage the blend in the reflex points that are located in the feet, hands or ears. Sometimes applying the blend on all those areas are required depending on the condition. One of the theories of reflexology is that the body will nurture and repair itself once released from stress. If necessary I always suggest medical treatment because I do not give medical advise or diagnosis. |

What Does a Typical Reflexology Healing Session Consist Of?
In the session, the client lies on a massage table and remains fully clothed throughout the treatment, although it is recommended that the Recipient remove shoes The Practitioner will place their hands directly on the client, proceeding through a series of hand positions that have been developed to maximize the flow of energy through the body. Those who are familiar with chakras and meridians may recognize some similarity in these hand positions. There is no massage involved and the Practitioner’s hands are placed with respect always with consideration not to violate any individual’s privacy. Modifications can always be made to the traditional hand positions to respect any additional touch issues the Recipient may have. In the room where the healing is given, there may be relaxing music, a candle and/or aromatic fragrances to create a pleasant atmosphere. The client is always in charge during a healing session.
